Predisnolone for chest infection

I am currently on 2.5 mg of pred for PMR. I had chest infection & doctor prescribed 30 mg for 7 days. Will I beabketo go straight back to the low dose immediately afterwards please?

See jinasc has replied, but for others who may be in similar situation, please look at sick day rules - cks.nice.org.uk/topics/poly...

..and as it’s such a big difference would suggest you may step down in 2 steps to just above previous dose.

It is just like getting put on it when not on pred - but the baseline is a bit higher. You are fine to drop straight back to the old dose - you might feel the change but it isn't risky.
