Absolutely! I was mortified that a Consultant said in a letter to my GP that I had severe immunosuppression. I know I was on pred for six and a half years, but the last three were less than five mg per day.Paddy

Mind you, I am not sure how much I trust some consultants in their diagnosis which they are really not so sure about. An orthopaedic surgeon friend thought polymyalgia and fibromyalgia were the same thing!

Goodness me - that’s a bit of a worry. I’d like to think my Consultant was mistaken but I rather doubt it. I’m being checked out, with tests, for Multiple Myeloma at present; won’t know outcome for another three weeks!Best wishes
