Hi, I have taken Osteozin Complete Bone Formula since my diagnosis in 2017, it has calcium, magnesium, zinc & Boron , also Vit D3 & K2. Had my calcium levels checked a couple of months ago and all was well.

Sorry, have no experience of Oesteoguard ultra, was recommended the Oesteozin by a friend who is a medical Herbalist. She rates it quite highly.

I’m sure you’ll get lots more answers!

I find it interesting that on its website it doesn't say what kind of calcium they are using.

Hi, with Osteozin it’s calcium citrate. Checked on the box!

I found that calcium carbonate (the usual and cheapest) was a bit hard on the stomach. I use calcium citrate and also calcium hydroxyapatite, the latter because I read it is better absorbed by people on pred. Both types of supplements I use are in capsule, not tablet, form, and I think this makes a difference. It is usually better to get nutrients from food I agree. If we can trust our food nowadays to contain the nourishment it used to. I'm pleased your supplement includes Vitamin K2!

My experience is also that calcium carbonate upset my stomach, calcium citrate does not.

One way of avoiding the AdCal problem is to take a separate vit D supplement and ensure your dietary calcium is OK.

But really, whatever you want - you have to try each for yourself. EVeryone is different!

All types of prescribed calcium/Vit D gave me indigestion and cystitis. I now buy calcium carbonate 400mg + K2 37.5mg and halve the tablet which I take every other day, but take a prescribed Vit D daily. Unscientific but it suits me.

Yes, I take Osteoguard Ultra - one after breakfast and one after lunch, and I don't have any problems with it. (Although if I forget to take the second tablet until later in the day, then I can have a slightly dodgy tummy the next day.)

If that has calcium in remember it should be taken a few hours after the Pred.

Oh yes - I should have said that I no longer take pred!
