Should I be concerned about toes feeling tingly when I lie down? I have vasculitis GCA and poor circulation but this is something new.

Tingling in the feet
Have you spoken to the GP? It could be a trapped nerve - something changing when you lie down. Or it could be the early stages of peripheral neuropathy - what medications are you on? Pred I assume with GCA, that can occasionally cause it.
You say vasculitis GCA - by that do you mean GCA AND some other form of vasculitis? Do you know why you have poor circulation?
Hi… thanks for your reply. Just hydrocortisone of 5 a day ….always had very poor circulation with chilblains as a child and always feeling cold …,except for now! ESR and CRP and bloods all normal. Haven’t spoken to doc…as ok when I am walking.
Never had adrenal test as nobody thought it necessary when I mentioned it
Under a lot of stress right now as lost my dearest son to Covid …, maybe causing all the stomach problems too..,,
So very sorry to hear such sad news. You must miss your son very much and I'm sure the pain of that loss must be unbearable. Sadly I can't make things better for you or change anything thats happened, but I can tell you that I know every single person on this forum who has read your post, will have you in their thoughts and will be sending you their love at such a sad time. ❤❤️
Hugs - nothing anyone can say to make that feel any less awful xxx
Oh shella, I am so sorry that you are suffering so much. I cannot imagine anything worse. Sending you love and strength to get through this!My feet burn at night and tingle especially after a glass of wine or spicy food, I also have psoriasis on my feet. I find a base cream gives me some ease.
So sorry for you, have an only son can't imagine how you are feeling...heartbreaking...thinking of you.....
Thinking of you in your loss.
Thank you so much it’s very painful…. I think I am still trying to come to terms with everything 💗
You have a lot to cope with just now, so I'm sure that the more hugs you get the better. Sending you hugs too.
So sorry to hear your news, please add my hugs to all the others. Xx
More hugs xx
Hi Shella it may well be the beginnings of peripheral neuropathy as indicated above. I had what I call the "frog leg" tests about 4-5yrs ago when my toes started tingling. They put probes on your legs then pass a current to get a twitch and a graph reading. It turns out that I'd lost a couple of nerve systems in my legs due to poor circulation from my GCA - the nerve dies off when it can't get enough blood. It's wierd because there are other major nerve systems in the legs which compensate, so my legs, feet, and all muscles work fine as normal, but they feel numb. I can touch the skin anywhere (feet & legs) and feel it instantly - but walking around they feel tingly, numb, and stiff. Hope that helps.
Thank you …. did you ask your doctor for this test? Better go once I feel safer after second vaccination which I have been delaying. So far the toes feel tingly and sometimes lack of feelings but it’s ok when I am moving.
I put achy legs - usually tops - down to heat right now ….when i wriggle toes feels a bit strange maybe better have word with doctor.,,,,
I didn't ask my rheumy for the test - he's been monitoring my GCA and I just mentioned my feet were getting tingly and he sent me straight for the test. Bear in mind this was a few years ago in pre covid times. Your "tingly but ok when moving" symptoms sound very similar mine. I'd have a chat with your doctor even if just to eliminate peripheral neuropathy.
shella, there are no words... Sending hugs and strength...
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and hugs. Robert was a healthy 49 year old so we are all still in shock.
So very, very sorry for your loss. Thinking of you. Take care. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
