Could well be - I've never had one there on my wrist. Are you scraping your wrist on something?

No never banged it or anything, it comes up as a lump with fluid first almost like bursitis and then it bruises , I had same on my foot but a lot bigger a few weeks ago .

Have you spoken to your GP? I think that would be a good move with strange bruising.

Hi Rottsuzi - just make sure you keep that photo to show Rheumi, as I know to my cost ailments get better/disappear the day before long awaited medical appointments 🤦‍♀️ All the best.

Yes, I've had a number of bruises and I believe it is the effect of the steroid. I've had small ones on my arms and legs but they do disappear and are not painful.

Hi. I occasionally get smaller ones of these on my fingers/palms. It is where a small blood vessel has burst under the skin, that is the liquid you can feel, this then disperses giving the appearance of bruising. I would see your doctor to make sure there is no serious reason for it happening. I have had these long before I was taking prednisolone so I don't think that is the reason but hey, I'm not a doctor.
