Clicking sound in throat while lying down.

Not sure if this has anything to do with Polymyalgia, but thought I would ask anyway. I have a clicking sound in my neck when lying down, it started on one side but now have it on both sides and when lying on my back, it’s more annoying than anything. Started my journey with steroids June 2020, at the moment I am taking 5 mg prednisone.

Sounds like a soft palate thing when you breathe and sadly related to weight. I’ve had it a long time. Very pre PMR and have learned to live with it. Ask for ENT checks though if you’re worried.

Can happen with PMR even without a weight problem - I had a soft palate "thing" too, and it was long before pred.
