For the last week or so I have noticed a sort of squidgy, squeaky sound in my right ear when I chew. Do you think this is something I should be concerned about or just another 'learn to live with it' thing?

Squidgy sound in right ear!!
Hello,
I get it from time to time but it goes away as is painless. Probably Temporomandibular joint doing funny things or ear wax.
Thanks for this. I don't think it's wax so it must be the Temporomandibular?! doing funny things!!! I was just being paranoid with the vague worry about developing GCA!! Thank you Snazzy (and PMRpro) for putting my mind at rest.
Have you had someone look down there? Might be worth doing to rule it out or in as the case may be.
Like Snazzy I was going to suggest wax...
Agree, and I have had water stuck after a swim. A few drops of isopropyl alcohol usually clears it up.
I have had various noises in my ears ranging from tinnitus to ear blockage type sounds. Get your GP to take a look incase it is a middle ear infection.
My ears are definitely affected by prednisone. Everything is really loud. I always feel like there are bugs in my ears.
Yes, like everything has been turned up a notch, sound, light even movement!
