For the last week or so I have noticed a sort of squidgy, squeaky sound in my right ear when I chew. Do you think this is something I should be concerned about or just another 'learn to live with it' thing?

Thanks for this. I don't think it's wax so it must be the Temporomandibular?! doing funny things!!! I was just being paranoid with the vague worry about developing GCA!! Thank you Snazzy (and PMRpro) for putting my mind at rest.
I saw the doctor a month or so ago because I thought I'd lost a bit of earplug! He said it was fine. Would wax build up that quickly? I've never had a problem before.
I have had various noises in my ears ranging from tinnitus to ear blockage type sounds. Get your GP to take a look incase it is a middle ear infection.
On higher doses of Pred I felt like I was listening to 'white noise' a lot of the time - this has abated now under 20mg but noises in ears can certainly be moving waxy stuff.
