Is this a flare or something else going on

Haven’t posted on here for awhile, 7years with pmr, 4years on pred then 3 years on Leflunomide. Over the last few weeks from my buttock all the way down to the top of my feet, front and back of legs feel like I have gnawing toothache in legs and they feel so heavy, wake up in the morning ok but as the day goes on the pain gets worse and stops me sleeping at night. Have been having night sweats with no temperature. My next Rheumy appointment is the 30th of June. Not sure if this is to do with pmr or something else. Wondered if any one else has suffered with these symptoms. Another thought wondered if it could be clogged arteries in my legs I’m 72 this year.

Sounds grim, nothing like not getting sleep after a day’s pain. In your position I’d call your GP rather than assuming it is a rheumatology problem. It may be coming from the spine and causing pressure on the sciatic nerve for example. It’s a long time until end of June for this situation.

Buttock pain is typical of piriformis syndrome - and it can pinch the sciatic nerve, leading the pain all down the leg. And piriformis syndrome as part of myofascial pain syndrome is more common in patients with PMR.You need to speak to the GP first of all.
