A&E

Hi all, hope yr all ok, spent Easter in Monday and most of Tuesday in a&e with shooting pain in my temples and sore eye socket, had loads of different tests, lots of pain killers,60mg of pred as a precaution and turns out I was diagnosed with photosenry not sure I spelt that right, which is lights,brightness make you squint and painful eyes which will explain headaches, so for the next month I need to wear sunglasses, furn brightness down on tv basically do everything I would if I had migraine. Then see if that makes things better then go back for hospital appointment. Just another thing to think about, I feel ok just really tired, oh well it could have been a lot worse

So sorry to hear how you spent Easter but hope your more settled now you know what it is. You have also helped me as I am experiencing the same but not too much pain in my temples. My eyes are and have been a problem since starting preds in November last year but I have an appt at the opticians on Tuesday to see if they can tell me the problem. Thought it could be cataracts then GCA but now I think I have night blindness. Won't read into it anymore till I have been for my appt. I have told my Dr when she phones but she never picks up on it. I hope to get it sorted but I have taken to wearing sunglasses like yourself which I hope helps. It a bit scary as it's your eyes but so pleased they are following it up for you. I'll watch your post to see how you progress. Good luck.
