pmr sufferers, just saying i am now pain free. after 7 years on pred. i have been off pred for 14 month , and i can say it did take that amount of time to be without pain i did think it would never go i still was haveing groin and buttock pain but eventually it all went. and during that time i have moved house stressfull experiance, had H pylori and like everyone got through 2 lockdowns so dont despair it does happen eventually

Thank you for sharing your positive news, I’m just at the beginning and struggling to adjust after leading a very busy and active life.Been on 15mg of Pred for a month, huge improvement but still have some pain.

Side effects kicking in....your post gives me hope!

I am happy for you and deeply envious. I sometimes despair of ever feeling well. It’s a job to keep up physical fitness with these diseases but so important.

Thankyou Polly for that encouraging news. I’m on 3mg Pred , almost 5 years down the line. Off for a synacthen test on Thursday to see what the old adrenals are doing! Wish me luck 👍

Very encouraging- I have been off pmr for 4 months now and feel ok but definitely some aches and pains although nothing like pmr thankfully!
