Update on fingers crossed

Well I saw the doc on Monday who prescribed 40mg of pred in case it’s GCA. Along with a couple of different drugs. Tuesday night the pain was unbearable so my wife took me to A&E where I was given liquid morphine, intravenous paracetamol and fee flow oxygen. That did ease the pain so off to home at 6am with more drugs. Called the doc again in the early evening who advised to call ambulance, I was very unsteady on my feet. In hospital more liquid morphine, which made no difference at all. Spent the night in hospital and waiting to hear what they can do. Still in lots of pain and very unsteady on my feet still..

Hi,

Nice to hear from you in person, your wife did update us.

All the very best, and hope you soon feel better.

Get well soon - and do hope they can find something that works. OTOH, one hates to think what it would be like without anything.

Hi,I really, really feel sorry for you. I had never heard of ocular shingles before, and have been horrified by your description of the symptoms - as was my wife.

Thanks for the update, and hope and pray you feel better soon.

Best wishes

Paddy

Gosh, how awful. The pain must be unbearable and they don't seem to have any answers as to what it is. I really hope you get some respite very very soon.

It is lovely to hear from you, but am sure you are still in a lot of pain and need to rest. It is all so worrying for you and your wife. Just so hope the medics can give you the right treatment and get you better as soon as possible so you begin to feel a bit more like you want to feel. Thinking of you and wishing you all the best in your recovery from this horrible episode.

Oh poor you! This sounds like a horrendous experience. Those drugs would make anyone wobble. Did the Pred have any impact at all?Get better soon, we are all routing or is it rooting for you. We all want you better.

Hi Griggser

Your Good Lady has been keeping us updated but it sounds awful & very painful. I do hope they can prescribe a good combination to improve the pain. 🙏🏼
