I have PMR and am on low dose 1mg prednisone. It works quite well, but not so well the fluey feeling and all over misery when high humidity. Is Tylenol any benefit? Thanks, Jane

Does tylenol help?
Only you can tell that - it doesn't do anything for me!
If 2mg pred helps it is probably safer than tylenol! One lady was persuaded to take tylenol because her doctor was sure it was OA. A few weeks later she had a routine blood test - raised liver values high enough for her GP to panic and send her for a liver scan. All down to the tylenol (paracetamol)
I take tylenol when needed but I also have my liver checked routinely. Tylenol really helps me.
Hi Jane, Tylenol does help with my arthritis pain, which is different from PMR pain. I take Tylenol regularly, and find it also helps with sleep at night. Only caution is to stay below the recommended daily limits.
I am currently on 17.5 mg coming down from 20mg,I am practically pain free but I suffer terribly from fatigue with heavy legs and I feel like I do everything in slow motion.I am not complaining as I still remember what the pain was like.
