I'm wondering if anyone has experienced a GCA relapse after receiving the Covid 19 vaccination.

When you say "GCA relapse" what are the symptoms etc.

ie Headaches, Jaw Pain etc or the dreaded fatigue. What dose of Pred you are currently taking?

Hi.I was diagnosed feb.2018. Currently working on 6.5 prednisone with dsns taper.

I'm afraid to get the vaccine. I am afraid my immune system will get ramped up from it and begin an active attack on my arteries again. Right now, my body is quiet.

Please don't be afraid, if and I mean IF, there is any re-action it can be dealt with.

When you go to the vaccine centre take a list of all the medication you are on - which is what I did.

You need the vaccine, running the risk of getting Covid is just not worth it.

You could talk to your GP about you being unsure. Don't miss the chance please.

I had no reaction to the vaccine at all. I've had GCA since may last year.
