I know a few people who experience something similar with pred. One lady was told by her GP to try taking the pred at night so she slept through the unpleasant period - worked like a dream.

I had it myself at one point - about 3-4 hours after taking my enteric coated pred in the morning I would feel dizzy and unwell briefly if I had gone out to do shopping, it wasn't very bad but unnerving. It only ever happened if I was out and about, so I changed my timetable a bit to avoid the risk.

Reading this took me back. Yes I had dizzy feelings when I started taking prednisolone but have not experienced this for a long time

I had horrible dizziness around the same time along with being uncoordinated and sleepy. In the end I had to take it before bed so I could sleep through the worst before the wakeful jittery bit later.

When I was on a high pred dose I always felt like that - it gradually improved as I lowered the dose. It’s not a nice feeling.

I had this on 30mg stopped when I got under 15mg. Strange feeling about an hour or so after taking it. Went off in a couple of hours but then I needed a nap in the afternoon.

I experienced this on the higher doses. I remember losing my balance and falling into the lettuce bin when out shopping one morning! I change the timing of meds from first thing in the morning to 2 am and slept through the worst of it. I moved back to first thing in the morning when I got to lower dosing.
