Shielding letter

Good morning everyone.

I'm not sure if others have received a letter/email from DHSC about shielding until 31 March but I received such an email yesterday evening. The letter correctly identified me as 'clinically extremely vulnerable and at high risk'. The letter stated further advice will be provided mid-March. Hey ho! At least the birds are singing and flying free!

Wishing everyone wellness and safety.

Got mine too! A second birthday in lockdown coming up ☹️No great surprise though as some, or even maybe most, of us won’t have had our second vaccinations by then.

But Spring is on its way 😊

My birthday too in May, (70 but not a day over 32 😂) but no doubt any plans I don't know about will be replaced by home delivery. With every good wish for your birthday.🎂

Unintentionally my hair mirrors BoJo, hair cut last pre-November lockdown. But without politicians wouldn't we have to have another focus of wrath?

I just keep asking all our hindsight experts, "day one, what would you have done?"

Dunno about Day 1 - but we were sitting here shouting at them to shut down a good 2 weeks sooner than they did. There has been no excuse, they were following in others' footsteps and we could see what happened. It wasn't just the UK, here in Italy there have been regions that waited, where I live included, and wonder why the numbers shot up. You have to go in early and hard - and that results in a less worse scenario which is manageable.

Yep, got mine too. Strangely depressing but consider myself as shielding until May which hopefully will be 3 weeks after 2nd jab, unless time scale moves to longer between them.

It seems that a new calculator, which assesses a combination of risks – including age, ethnicity and weight – has identified a larger group of people as “clinically extremely vulnerable”. I think it means the number of vulnerable people is now double what it was originally.

Yes, I got mine by email yesterday. I must say I wouldn't be rushing out anywhere soon, even if they said I could.

Not what you're looking for?
