That is still a fair bit in 10 hours - evenly spaced every 6 hours is what they should say but peopledo tend to have longer overnight.

Macrolide abx (erythromycin is one) CAN cause CNS effects (central nervous system) and here is a link to a paper about (very rare) erythromycin induced nightmares:

I would be on the phone to the GP asap - and if he doesn't help, try 111

Hi I am reacted very badly to it , with horrendous stomach cramps and it then takes awhile to get it out of your system, my sister and my children also had problems with it . There are plenty of alternatives so I would speak to your doctor.Ear infections are bad enough you don’t want the treatment making you feel worse

Taken many times but had no side effects. Speak to your Doctor.

I had that effect with levaquin, frightening nightmares, racing heart. Told my GP and she put down in my file to never prescribe levaquin unless my life depended on it!

Hi I’m taking it currently for gum infections - three times a day - 6 hours apart - one hour before food. Not had a a problem with it so far. Hope I don’t as allergic to penicillin! Hope you get some answers from your doctor.

Just a update, spoke to dr this morning just to check about nightmares last 2 night since started taking erythromycin, she said not a common side effect but can happen very rarely, so instead of taking them 4 x a day for a wk now I got to take 2 x a day but for 10 days and she going to phone me monday to see what is going on, finger crossed tonight's sleep is a good one, good night/good morning stay safe
