Prednisone reduction
Not really sure what you mean.
If you notice an increase in pains or feeling off colour immediately it’s probably steroid withdrawal and will go within about 4 days...paracetamol may help. However if it takes longer than a week or two to get pains etc, it probably means the dose is too low.
I reduced by 2.5 and after 1 month another 1 mg 3 weeks later i felt pain , and malaise sick feeling.
See you started at 20mg and in last post you were at 12.5mg in October, but then reduced to 10mg in November. Is that correct?
If so, then if you felt pain and malaise I would say 10mg is not enough....so go back to 12.5mg and see if that helps.
Although 2.5mg reductions are a recognised protocol, not everyone can follow them successfully. To that end I would suggest you request 1mg tablets and suggest to your doctor that you only reduce by 1mg at a time.
If you are ready to reduce and judge it right, you may not feel any effect at all. The aim is to get to the lowest dose that controls your symptoms.
