Side Effect of TCZ

Just spoke with my GP and my "cough cough" (unproductive one) is indeed a side effect of Tocilizimab. Don't know how long my Rheumy plans to have me on it the injection, but will chat with her next week. In the meantime, wonderful news from the Southend Hospital in restoring the man's vision.

Yes. It buoyed me up no end. I’ve been coughing a bit too. Due my injection tomorrow.

HI, have you also completed the 'Yellow Card Scheme'. It is to report side effects. They are availabel from your chemist and it is free of charge and that includes postage.

Have never heard of that here in B.C. Canada; will ask Rheumy about it next week. Likely different requirements country to country. Thanks for the info.

As far as I'm aware, in the UK, NICE has limited us to one year's treatment on TCZ, extended to April 2021 due to CV-19. I suppose this could change, but my Rheumatologist is planning to discuss other DMARDs with me in January, prior to April!

Glad to hear your GP agrees it's (just) a side effect.
