I just did shot 3. (Every two weeks) And I feel like I have menopause all over again. Hot. Sweaty. Very tired. On 27 prednisone now. Reducing by 2 per week as per advice from rheumatologist. Anyone else have this?

Tired, hot and sweaty, in that order of severity. I promise to report anything positive ( I did get down from 40 mgs to 8 mgs Pred without much extra bother.

Good to hear. I started at 50 in July. I am back to doing one thing a day as I was in 2018 when this started. Oh well. Ever onward.

So sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well. I just finished my sixth injection today. The first three shots had me so exhausted I could barely move. I have found it’s the Prednisone that makes me sweaty not the Actemra. I started on 60 mg of Prednisone almost four years ago. I was always ringing wet, couldn’t sleep and very down. I’m at 4mg of Prednisone now and all three horrible symptoms are almost gone. I still have occasional hot flashes and restless nights but nothing like before. I was on Actemra IV for a year and just switched to injections every ten days. The monthly IV had me tired just one day a month but now tired for the day of the injection. Getting better though. Good luck.

Thanks. The fatigue is awful. I am usually go go go. Back to one thing a day. Swim. That’s it. Then couch. This too shall pass??

I am not on Actemra and only have PMR, but my sweats were definitely caused by the disease. Pred got rid of the inflamation/symptoms.
