Having my third bout of Vertigo would this be yet another

Problem connected with PMR or Pred..? It is such a horrible feeling and you get no warning one minute I am fine and then suddenly spin out of control. (No it’s not the gin).

People do develop BPPV but you can get it with or without PMR or pred so not really a PMR/pred problem specifically.

Maybe more gin might help???? ;)

Only with a glass of wine - no G&T seems to have sorted the rather excessive atrial fibrillation!! :(

Yes I have AF too. Had a nuclear heart scan atthe UCH . No blocked arteries but it showed a lump in my breast. Had all the usual tests and biopsies and thankfully it isn’t cancer. Was a very worrying

Few weeks. So a glass of wine it is🍷😜

I had a bout of BPV with no identified cause.. just the nasty dizziness when I moved my head.

A few trips to the physical therapist taught me the movements to shift the inner ear bits,. Brandt-daroff may be the name of the procedure.

Since that brief intervention have had no more episodes.

Good luck...oh, and Stay seated with the gin on board...don't want any falls

Kind regards,Jerri

IVe had Vertigo a couple of times and managed to get rid of it by doing the Epley manoeuver. It’s amazing and it works and you can do it on your own,

Let me know how you get on. I couldn’t believe it and didn’t need a physio though if you don’t feel confident yourself I’m sure many of them know about it. Good luck!

I did have quite a scary episode of dizziness before I had GCA. It hasn't ever been as bad as it was, since I’ve been on pred, so I think it was possibly GCA connected or possibly just junk in the inner ear - and for once, pred is innocent. I still have it occasionally but have found a way to deal with it - no idea what the name of the procedure is, but if u sit on the side of the bed, look one way and suddenly fall the other a few times, then switch to other side, that usually does it. Mind u don't hit the headboard tho! Gd luck. Carrie.
