If you search Turmeric at the top right it’ll come up with loads of posts. People do take it.

Try this for starters

It also depends on other medications.

Many people find they can't take the high doses in supplements but using it in cooking is benefical and has fewer side effects.

I use it all the time for cooking purposes ..

It’s great cooking it with Rice.

I tend to cook with it as there was a programme on BBC radio saying that was better than taking it in capsule form. It was Dr Michael Moseley of the 5:2 diet who had done some sort of research.

But I saw a programme on preventing Alzheimers with Angela Rippon and they said you would have to eat a helluva lot of curries to get the same benefit as a daily pill

Well - a lot of curries to get the same amount as in a pill. That doesn't mean it isn't having a beneficial effect - and far less likely to cause trouble!

I sprinkle turmeric in soups and casseroles and have a cup of turmeric tea by my side as I write. It's said to be a really good anti-inflammatory.

I've been taking it in capsule form for a couple of years. No obvious side effects good or bad for me if that's the aim of your question. So I can't say it's anti-inflammatory properties are obvious but I'm sticking with it for the potential longer term benefits against cancer and alzheimers amongst other things. I did try cooking with it, drinking it with hot water etc. but I found I had a constant taste and smell of it. I don't get that with the capsules. I take 1x500mg capsule a day. Hope this helps.
