What to do if you're not getting you HU emails

There have been a few instances lately of people not receiving their regular emails from HealthUnlocked - the ones with a digest of recent posts.

I'm really not sure why this happens, some weird little glitch in the system but it does appear to happen from time to time.

If it happens to you - here are two things to do to try to sort it out:

1. Check your spam folder in case for some reason your email provider has decided that these emails are unwanted. If you find a missing email in there, drag it back to your inbox, right click on it and choose an option that indicates that it is not spam (it's hard to be specific here as each email provider has different wording - some say Add this to your safe sender list or simply This is not spam but whatever it says, hopefully it will be obvious to you.)

2. If there is nothing in your spam folder come here to the HealthUnlocked site and click on your avatar in the top right of the screen. (Your avatar is the picture you chose to represent you on screen - this might be a photo or a smiley face graphic or something else and it appears just to the right of the search facility - see photo). Scroll down and click on Settings (4th on the list) and then scroll down to Digests - this is where you tell HealthUnlocked what emails you want to receive. Choose the option you want and then your emails should be restored.

That's a really good point - I've lost things in Promotions too when Gmail rejigged everything.

On a slightly different point - have noticed in last few days that if you get private message from someone who hasn’t used that facility to you before - you get a pop up box to ask if you trust them or want to report message.

Obviously a security update - good move.
