I thought it might be helpful to post an update on a question that I asked on here two years ago.I was getting tingling ,numbness and swelling in my hands. It got extremely painful and I I was at my wits end.I looked on YouTube and found two incredible Physiotherapists and by searching through their many amazing videos found that the pain was caused by bad posture leading to pressure on my nerves. Of course PMRpro you were right!I seem to push my chin forward which puts my posture out of line. They show a correcting way of standing which worked. One has to stand up straight and imagine that someone has put a pie into your face so you retract it straight back. You also have to be very conscious of your neck position at all times. I always lift up the screens on any computer that I’m working on and follow their advice on pillow management. For a while I still had to get out of bed and do the Pie technique but it gradually got better and has resolved. The relief was instant each time and I am so grateful to them.
Something is wrong with this page and I can’t correct my mistakes so please excuse me!
Hope this helps someone
