Has anyone ever had pelvic, vaginal pain? Have been on predisone for almost two years. Pain usually moves, but this is weird and really hurts. Don't know if this is related to PMR or not?

Does anyone experience this type of pain?
Yes I get pain like period type dull ache front and back around pelvis am sure it’s all linked to pmr
My pain originally was quite sharp and very specific. I’d get it checked out because these symptoms can be caused by various things some of which are better dealt with sooner rather than later. You need to check if it is musculoskeletal, organ based or neurological rather than blaming the usual suspect.
Funnily enough I’ve been to the GP this week to have what I decided was a prolapse. I had a spell of pelvic pain which to me felt like upset ligaments due to the Pred and general muscle laxity around the 2 year mark. It went away as my general musculature improved so I forgot about it but I suspect all was not well where the sun don’t shine. I’ve made an appointment with a physio who specialises in pelvic health and I’ve been sent lots of homework on the physiology before my appointment.
I recommend you check out Kegel8 kegel8.co.uk . I’ve had prolapse issues resulting in an op and was recommended Kegel afterwards to stimulate and strengthen the pelvic floor. It works!
Hi Snazzy - not sure this is what you might like to do but whenever I think of it I am up on my tippy toes to strengthen leg muscles but told it helps pelvic + I have a mini tramp (lymphizier?) I picked up second hand & jump gently on that through the day when at home which is most of the time being winter.
I lie on my Obie roller at night (neutral spine) with feet on Swiss ball with legs in air as if I am riding a bike.
Have tilted prolasped nether regions - have had the very ocassional sharp pain vaginal region often wondered if its spasm as experienced in other parts of body the odd time ~
I’ll try anything, though a mini tramp sounds like a step too far at this early/floppy stage! 😂
Always something to check with the doctor.
Yes I've had it, comes and goes. Think it may be something mysterious called vulvodynia, I googled it and it fits. Ive been checked out for other things eg prolapse, all negative.
I also experienced those painful anal spasms. These are symptoms that I haven’t had since menopause. I am sure that they are linked to the condition and subsequent muscular weakness.
Hi, I have a condition called proctalgia fugax which is very unpleasant and can occur any time. It apparently has no particular cause and is not harmful but is quite painful. It can be embarrassing as you need to go to the bathroom as it feels like you also need to open your bowls but you don't. Obviously as it is in close proximity to the vagina I wonder if this is referred pain as it does feel like the pain radiates. Just a thought?
Hi, forgot to add it probably doesn't help that I have a retroverted womb🙃
Yes I have pelvic/ vaginal pain when I do a reduction . Makes it hard to walk and sit.
