Fran - is there any way that people can submit questions without it coming up on the chat? That drove me up the wall, losing sight of the slides as people dived in with questions ... Ans the non-muted people whose family walked in ;)

Not sure about the chat thing although I'm wondering if you can change how it appears in settings as they appeared on my screen but weren't very intrusive - I'll feed that back tho in case anything can be done. I'll also mention to Sara about muting everyone so there's no background noise...

I was using an iPhone & the questions disappeared very quickly.....

I was using my PC and they disappeared too which is why I'm wondering whether it's a setting thing.

They were about a third of the way up the slide - and stay up quite a time when they are one after the other!!

Hmmm, you could try this...support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/ar... and see if you can change your settings so that you don't receive the notifications at all. You need to scroll a way down the article to chat and notifications. Not sure if it will achieve what you want...but worth a try :).

And also, the chat messages don't appear on the recording so when that's up you can also revisit it if there were any slides you want to see again.

Yes, in the Chat function box you can put the question to the ‘Speaker’ only, in other words make it a private question or put the question to ‘Everybody’ so that all can see. Seems people chose to use use the more public approach yesterday. I also found it distracting.
