Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Read the facts

There is understandably a lot of concern about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and it's quite natural for people to want to read and follow all the media stories. But this can also be very stressful and overwhelming which isn't helpful for PMR or GCA. We recommend going to the sources of the information to get the facts and not some of the hype. These sites are good: 1. nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir... 2. gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus... & 3. who.int/emergencies/disease... Vasculitis UK also have a good page on the subject: vasculitis.org.uk/uncategor...

👍 Is there a way to keep this at the top of the feed. People generally don't see pinned posts??

Only by pinning which we will probably do after a day or two.

But that doesn't keep it at the top of the feed - just adds it to the pinned posts list.

Could it not be treated as a featured content (like the PMRGCA details) - if only temporarily?

Would have thought that HU might instigate something to cover all communities. Or is that too forward thinking.

That's the sort of thing I wondered - but don't know if/how it is possible.

It is possible - when HU did the survey for most helpful contributors a year or so ago (you must remember that) - it was a “featured content” item.

Stemming from HU though?

I emailed HU this morning to see if there was any other way to run a featured content. Awaiting a reply.

I think they can do a promoted post - looking back at email I received from them regarding the awards I mentioned to PMRpro.

That was obviously across all communities

I have applied to start a Covid-19 and Epidemiology forum

I’m going to save it - as could you - and then direct any new posters to it.

in reply to DorsetLady

Yes... Will do.
