When you have a debilitating autoimmune illness (or two!) like PMR/GCA, you have a lot of time to think, to ponder... contemplate and consider. Maybe it's just my age, or maybe it truly is a residual effect of having PMR/GCA, but I seem to spend a lot of time reliving the past and worrying about the future! The piece below was written because I have way too much time on my hands; as having both PMR & GCA leaves me housebound much of the time, and I don't have a heck of a lot to do, other than reflect on my life, and write.
{PS - Please note, my writing is not everyone's cup of tea. There is language used, in this piece, that some may find offensive. Please be sure you're clicking the link with a an open mind and readiness to read. Many thanks.}
