Today has been a beautiful day and I worked in the garden for, yes, about five hours. The sun was out but not too hot. I felt, and felt that before that the manual work and movement in the nice weather is doing me a lot of good, and never seems to flair me up. Sitting still however is a bit of a problem, my body seems to want to move.

My PMR is about 2.75 years going, and I am back on four mg, after being on 0.5 for quite a while...but that is another story!!

So the question is are there others who benefit from working in the garden but are unable to be stationary, sitting in a chair?? Thank you all!😊

Hi

We are all different when it comes to PMR perhaps you like me are one of the lucky ones able to do more than others .

Just remember to listen to your body and rest if and when you need to

I find myself enjoying the playing in the garden and I also wondered if the sunshine vit D has anything to do with it??

I love being in the garden, and working in it too, but must admit I do have a chair nearby so I can sit when needed - Arthritis the problem, not GCA any more!

But being out in the sun does wonders for the soul !

Not quite the weather for gardening here but in response to you mentioning sitting down..... If I have been sitting for a while I am so sore and stiff when I get up. Unfortunately sometimes moving about is also an issue. Some days, ye just can't win.
