Anyone taking the supplement Quercetin for inflammation and if so, have you had any good result taking it? Thank you.
quercetin: Anyone taking the supplement Quercetin... - PMRGCAuk
quercetin
I haven’t heard of anyone saying it helps. It is classed as an antioxidant so presumably it is meant to prevent inflammation from free radicals. It doesn’t last very long in the body once consumed either. I believe the inflammation with autoimmune disease is by a different mechanism so I suspect it won’t do very much for this. Anyway, perhaps someone will reply who has actually tried it.
Snazzy it works. It’s amazing. 1200 MHS 2 times a day. I take it. I have a friend also with PMR on it. We also take L - Glutamine powder 5000 mg 2 times a day. Curious to hear from others.
Great you’re getting results. Do you take Pred as well?
No. I no longer take prednisone. I am a confirmed PMR patient. But I was tapered down. And even though you may taper off of prednisone, it does not mean that your body is in "perfect" non PMR condition. And as a result, I have found these supplements to keep the body totally pain free.
I tried it as a mast cell stabiliser to try and sort out allergic food reactions but reacted to something in the brand I bought (Holland and Barrett) - think it was the ascorbic acid (synthetic Vit C). Which one do you use please ptm2018?
I get it from Amazon - Ultra High Strength Quercetin Capsules - 95% Standardized Purity - The Highest Purity Quercetin Available - 1000mg - 120 Veggie Capsules and I also use Pure Micronized L Glutamine Powder | 5000mg Serving—Highly Concentrated| 300 Grams | Recover from Workouts| Retain Muscle Mass | Support Gut Health |100% unflavored Freeform L-Glutamine no additives| also from Amazon
