Hello everyone I've just ordered some of these on the internet. Are any of you taking them and what do you think or suggest?
Magnesium Glycinate: Hello everyone I've just... - PMRGCAuk
Magnesium Glycinate
Have you checked with your doctor?
Never heard of 'em. What are they for? The interwebs are telling me that they're good for magnesium deficiency, heartburn & constipation.
I take 400mg of magnesium glycinate daily for muscle cramping. It’s one of the easiest types of magnesium on the digestive tract and more easily absorbed. Be careful not to take an excessive dose or your GI tract will tell you that you did lol.
On my doctor’s request I take a capsule of Magnesium L-threonate (2100mg) daily around 10.30 pm. To be honest I’m not sure what it’s actually doing to help me except I’ve noticed my sleep has improved🌸
I picked this up from a FB group - Richard's Keto for Health - he has a lot of useful info:
Thank you for that. It sounds just what I need. I sleep badly and suffer from axiety and of course have PMR pain to boot
Hi, caftan, I have been taking 200mg of Magnesium Glycinate at night for the last 3 years or so (PMR 6 years) with complete relief of nightime cramps and better sleep. It's not uncommon to develop cramps as we get older ( I am 85 ) and MG is ,as the chart above shows, a good version and less likely to have undesirable side effects as well as doing the job. Pred may or may not be a factor. Try looking in the FAQs for more info.
I've been taking this form of magnesium for ages for many reasons including bone strength, help with sleep issues, prevention of cramping....
My doc prescribed magnesium gylcinate for me also. I can't remember why. Something about the pred I think. I've been taking 400 mg per day.
