Does anyone experience chest tightness with their achy chest.
I overdid it last week ; gardening , painting and moving furniture ...I know I shouldn't do it . Since I have been very sore and achy but have also felt tightness in the chest, saw GP and was advised to take anti-acids but no relief . Has anyone else had this ?

Hello, it doesn’t surprise me you had some sort of kickback. Is the tightness feeling when you breathe as in you cant get enough in or is it painful when the arms or ribs move? Or something else.
No haven't had those symptoms, but with all the activities it wouldn't have helped. We do take longer to get over things now but if it continues go back to the doctor.
When I first started gym and was using upper body resistance machines like the shoulder press my chest muscles ached from the new exercise. At first I thought I was short of breath but relaxing and thinking about it I am pretty shire it was muscular. And it passed off. I think that is the thing, has it gone away as you have recovered from the work out
Yes costochondritis came to mind for me too. It is a complete pest. Feel ok, so you do some stuff and boom! The aches come back. I've had what I've been blaming in costochdritis several times and its no fun. A cough can make it so much worse too
Thank you for your comments . I am not surprised I am suffering just didn't have this feeling when I have overdone it before. I am sure a lot of it is muscular and maybe a bit of anxiety at feeling like I am tight in the chest. Easing a bit so hope It will pass
Sorry but with chest pain I think you have to go to the G.P. and tell them the anti acids haven’t worked. You have a right to a proper diagnosis and if that involves more tests so be it. Take care
