In remission with PMR and climbing one of the World's most dangerous mountains

Today the Durham Times (UK) has reported my forthcoming attempt in Oct/Nov to climb Annapurna IV (7525m / 24,700ft) to raise awareness of my condition Polymyalgia Rheumatica. Six years ago I was advised I wouldn't climb again and now I'm attempting the ultimate challenge ... to put my body against one of the world's highest, remotest, coldest and dangerous mountains. There is a good mention for our charity PMRGCAuk of which I'm the North East Support group coordinator at northeast@pmrgca.org.uk

Please share to raise awareness ...

Wow! thank you for posting. I don't quite have your aspirations but i do want to be physically fit again, running and cycling and swimming. I live in hope. This makes doing something like the 3 peaks a stroll! ;-)
