Always welcomed your informed advise. I have been off prednisone for over a year and symptom free. In my case, a slow controlled taper worked.

Appreciation to PMR pro
I am very pleased to hear you are doing so well. It's very comforting to us still going through pmr that people are recovering. Pmrpro has helped all of us with her wealth of knowledge. She us probably asleep now but will no doubt see your post in the morning. Thank you for letting us know how you are getting on.YBB
Yes , big cheer to PMRPro , or Brains as I affectionately think of her.
She really is a force of nature and doesn't only help people on this forum but does try to help elsewhere to .
Something to be admired , and an inspiration , especially after having a pacemaker fitted quite recently , she barely missed a heartbeat ( pardon the pun) and was virtually back out here helping within a day from her hospital bed.
Glad to get the opportunity to join you in your appreciation and include my thanks .
We all share that gratitude - who needs a Rheumatologist!
Ditto to all. 🌻
PMR Pro is really the wizard of PMR (and the wizard of all the odd things that happen during PMR).
Incredibly grateful to PMR pro - tho’ GCA was my problem - for all her wise advice. I am very nearly off
Pred after nearly 5 years. I am convinced the dead slow method is the only way to taper despite very different advice from several rheumys
PMRPRO is without doubt ‘The Expert’ on PMR/GCA
Thank You for Everything you do for Everyone 🏅🥂🍾💐
We should have a thread of appreciation up there for you as well Mrs N!!
Because when it comes to someone with all the experience of MTX and dealing with all the other drugs and diseases theirs no one better to give us some peace of mind.
" complicated cases " like me wouldn't have survived without you.
Very big thanks xxx
I agree with all the above and bet PMRpro is squirming with embarrassment lol
She doesn’t appear to be on line yet!......
~I'm sure she will be soon - I just sense she is not far away now
She is ...

👋🏽💜👋🏽, me too!
Eileen has been my light in the tunnel the whole of my 6 years with PMR! At the darkest, she has reached out that steady hand, and walked with me (and you too, I'm sure).
Her wisdom is my checkpoint for all I hear ( from rheumy and GP), and all Dr. Google says.
🧚🏽♂️Fairy godmother to all💐

PMRpro is the greatest. Would be in the Dark Ages without her. Much respect and gratitude for helping us all through.
PMRpro is a star , what she doesn’t know about pmr isn’t worth knowing. Better than any doctor. Always supportive even when she wasn’t well . I am very grateful for all her advice.
Appreciation to PMRPro from here too. Wonderful help to us all.
All of the above! Thanks for posting.
Good to hear that you are still in remission. It gives us all hope.
I agree with all the comments about the wonderful contribution PMRpro makes to this forum. It would be a very different place without her.
Totally agree... I like the North East no nonsense approach, whilst being empathetic or plain speaking when required...
As a fairly young traveller on this PMR journey, PMRpro is always there to lean on and learn from....
With much appreciation... Thank you 💐
Thank you also to our moderators and Ambassadors... Always there with advice and humour, so important to us all on a down day...
So. Bravo Ladies 👏👏👏
