Update on cough
Excellent - seems fairly conclusive. What's the doctor say?
Hang head in shame! Didn't go! Turned out OK though.
You know me and doctors.
Yes - but you DO need to tell him! If only to get the next script.
Why had he changed them anyway?
The other one was too strong - BP 117/64 (was usually 135/85 - with tablets).
I'm pretty poorly atm. Ever since I ended up in hospital in April with a very aggressive Uti and e-coli, I've been suffering with Utis, I'm pretty weak. I've made an appointment with the Nephrologist for next week, when I have the results I'll go and have a big check up with doc.
I spend most of my time in bed or on the recliner. I have managed to get out every other day for a short walk.
Dear Constance,
Sorry to hear you are low at the moment.
When I lived in France, GP put me on Candesarten, I developed a dry annoying cough ( for me and everyone else). Found the tablets were also the culprits for making me very tired and listless. I reduced them, then weaned off completely. Cough and fatigue disappeared. I had told GP I was doing it BP 130/70 and has been for four years.
Not advocating you try this, but just my experience of Cadesarten.
Do hope you soon feel better
Monica
That's exactly the new one the doctor put me on. They have gone in the bin now.😀
Not in the bin - the pharmacy. Medications should always be disposed of by them so they don't get in the groundwater.
Glad it's sorted the cough. Hopefully there are others to try (sigh). Hope you feel better soon.🌻
Dear Constance, surprising how many medications cause coughs. I'm on Ramipril for high blood pressure or I was until today when I saw my G.P. because of my weeping right leg and my very large thighs. He felt both thighs well squeezed them and listening to my ouch decided that I should stop the Ramipril for a week , start to take Furosemide in an effort to reduce the accumulation of water and added an antibiotic for good measure. I'm pleased that you've lost your cough and hope you'll will feel better soon.
