Good morning all! After a couple of days on 5mg pred, I am already feeling the benefits of increasing the dose. The symptoms of flare up have lessened and I can get out of bed at the first attempt! Showering is easier and my pain level has dropped, leading to a much happier me!
Have a GP appointment on Wednesday to assess if I am fit enough for the upcoming ankle surgery.
Hope all our PMR community are experiencing some positivity too.
Good - just shows there is no point trying to fight it through at too low a dose. It really does get you nowhere - and is likely to help the rehab after ankle surgery.

Good luck with the GP , you never know getting a bit of strength back by increasing the dose may well make it more possible for you to get that surgery done .
Those hot showers are wonderful 😎 it helps me get motivated every morning.
I'm sure at 5mg pred you will have no problems to go ahead with your surgery.

I don't like them (hot showers)!😏 I miss soaking in a bath. Can get in but not out - if my husband wasn't there I would have been stuck for life. He refuses to get me out any more.😢😢
