First let me thank everyone for your good wishes.πŸ’πŸΎπŸΈ

Update: I did something today which I have never done in the 7 years of my PMR/Arthritis journey - I doubled my Pred and Cocodamol tablets. (Normally Pred 4mg, Cocodamol 3-4) and for the first time in weeks my pain level has fallen to 3 or 4 (I didn't expect miracles, but delighted anyway)!😊

Have a sunny, restful day everyone.😎🍾🍸

Glad you are feeling better. I had a similar issue last weekend and maxed out my pain meds. The world is a different place if you can get under 5/10. Its possible to manage on 6 or 7 too but 8 upwards is absolutely unbearable. 🌻

Is it better if you stick with 5mg pred Constance? Or 6mg? I really wouldn't force myself to 4mg just to be at 4mg. Not at my age even, 15 years behind you!!

I've been on 4mg for months now and thought "that's my level", but I got kicked in the butt yesterday.

I tried an extra 4mg this morning because I wasn't feeling so good. It worked for a bit, but the df started as well.

I realise now that most of the pain is arthritis so I will put Pred up to 6mg for a few days, but I will now take Cocodamol every four hours for the time being.

I see my very caring doctor on the 29th and will go through all my medicines with him.

Thanks. πŸ˜ŽπŸΎπŸ’

Glad you are feeling better Constance πŸ’ what a difference!

When you start coming down from 6mg consider going to 5.5mg as it might be easier on you. Sometimes we forget all our arthritic pain & old war wounds as l describe all my past injury’s etc!

Happy Easter πŸ£πŸ’›πŸŒΌ

Thank you! Had thought of that. I'll keep at 6mg for 4 or 5 days then dsns back to 5 and stay there until there is a great improvement.

Have realised pain is mostly arthritis (inflammatory) and now the tendonosis has been added (in knees and ankles). What with the pains in shoulders, elbows, wrists, base of thumb, fingers, hips, knees and ankles, as you can imagine, things flare now and again.😏

Hope life is treating you well.πŸ’πŸΈπŸΎ
