Well I had my worst cataract done yesterday. Today the eye is misty but I can see well enough. I think the pupil is still dilated from the drops they put in. Every thing is much brighter now even though misty. Hopefully the mist will gradually get better. They told me it would take up to 5 weeks for the sight to get back to normal. Long time to wait!!

Wishing you a big improvement soon. 💐

My Mother (84ish) at the time admonished the Surgeon at the Follow Up Appointment saying that the Surgery has turned her hair white 👵🏻 as before the surgery she was still blonde 👵

What more can l say!........

It may be quicker than that mine was just a couple of days. No one told me I had over bleached hair and baggy eyes. Everywhere looked as though it had been washed in bleach

It’s life changing

I had my worst eye done nearly two weeks ago and still blurry, still scratchy and hope it’s going to improve soon! Yes I can see better between the blur, so in essence it is a success to restore my vision, but gee, if this irritation doesn’t end when the drops finish in a few weeks i’ll go nuts. Getting the other eye done in two days...crossing m6 fingers.

I've also had my worst eye done. Took about 6 weeks to fully settle. Had some dryness and scratching for about a week, which I think was caused by using eye make up too soon - after 3 weeks as recommended. But eye drops cleared that up eventually and I was given the all clear at post op assessment. Difference in vision is amazing. And now I am waiting impatiently for the other eye to be done.

Yes the scratching feeling was awful for a short time and I had to sit on my hands a couple of times- just wanted to scratch eye out but oh the joy of being able to see clearly in that eye compared to how it had been. Hopefully get the other one done in three weeks. I suppose it varies from person to person but I don’t remember it being 5 weeks before blurriness was gone but it will go and having better vision is amazing!! Xx

Yes it’s fantastic to see clearly again.. and op was pain free! I’m waiting for my second eye to be done next month. Down side is all the dust, cobwebs and scuff marks I’m only noticing now! Major spring clean beckons!
