The Silly Side: More Tasty Morsels from the Small Ads. Well, it helps to pass the time when under the influence of the DF... ;-)

Greetings All

Just when you thought (er, hoped?) I'd gone quiet here, I have in fact been quite busy behind the scenes. Well, yep: the dreaded DF does has its drawbacks. But, as they say, there are 2 sides to every coin.

Here are the latest Gems spotted in the small ads...

1973 Mk.1 Batmobile. 1 careful lady owner, then Batman. Mileage 3 million and a bit. No MOT, rocket launchers broke but drives well. Comes with false number plates and Disabled Parking badge. Offers invited, contact Robin on [phone number].

Genuine Sheepskin Sheep. House trained, collection only from Baath area.

Original copy of Kama Sutra. Page 69 missing, has a few stains but otherwise quite clean. (selling on behalf of my Gran, age 102). Offers..?

Family sized Freezer. Size: 6 feet high by 4 feet deep. 110 Litre capacity, would accommodate large family.

Cuban cigar dispenser. Name: 'Diego'. Cigars not included.

Monkey wrench. Selling my favourite workshop tool due to retirement. To be honest, it's a real wrench :-/ (monkeys available by separate negotiation).

1980 Renault Clio. 243,000 miles, clapped out, sold as seen or will consider swap for new-ish Maserati / Luxury Yacht / Apartment in Cannes. No time wasters please.

Budgie Cage for sale. Joey, my beloved budgie fell off his perch yesterday. Going cheep..

Rare Collectors’ book: Tolstoy’s ‘War and Peas’ (special second edition for Revolutionary Foodies).

Large box containing 120 packets of High Strength Laxatives. Be quick - going fast!

Anyone looking for a Hard Drive? Try the A57 Snake Pass in Cumbria on a Vespa Scooter in a blizzard with no headlights and bald tyres. I did - the Old Bill weren’t happy when they caught me :-(.

Occasional table. Used twice in 7 years. Enuff said?

Men’s 1970s Vintage ‘Peter Cardew’ (?) Designer silk tie. Used, a few egg stains on front but not noticeable from a distance due the lovely pattern. Suit older gentleman with no dress sense and sympathetic friends.

Vintage Long Playing vinyl record by Simon & Garfunkel: ‘Trouble over at Bridgwater’ (recorded live in Somerset, 1968)

Half a Dozen fresh, juicy young Octopus caught today off the WSM coast. Price: six squid.

[end of small ads..]

Oh well, what can I say other than PMR, Pred Head, Brain Fog and DF are at least giving me some amusement along the way. That's my story and I'm sticking to it..

Best wishes and keep... etc ;-)

'Uncle' MB

(p.s. will be away / Off Air tomorrow until Tuesday-ish for the funeral of my favourite (and only) Uncle Bill RIP. He passed away peacefully at age 97: but always the Life and Soul, and trying to see the Humorous / Ironic Side of Life until the end. He could have wrote this silly stuff - maybe that's where I get it from..?)

x

Couldn't add it to the emoji laughter , it seemed very inappropriate , so just wanted today take care , and very sorry for your loss . Your Uncle Bill sounds like he was one of us , cheeky but adorable and always up for a silly adventure. I bet you will miss him alot , but havectime if great memories to keep him by your side.

Sorry for the loss of your uncle. Sounds like he was a mover and a shaker and had a long, full life and peaceful death. Who could ask for anything note! Hope memories of him give you comfort and put a smile on your face. Glad his humour was contagious.
