Well I've just had me regualar call with my doctor.
Last time he wasn't very happy with my progress and decided to refer me to a rheumatologist, well the letter saying they ahve my referall arrived a couple of weeks later. I'll just leave that where it is until I get an appointment.
Today, he was much happier with my progress and even suggested I stick at 5mg for a while
No I have a prescription, well when I collect it tomorrow, that will cover me for the next 3 months
So one happy me here

He also spoke about spending months at a level before trying to reduce again, maybe he's had some new information given to him, or he's been here and read the posts and helpful advise we get here
For me, I've added a second full week on the new dosefor the last 2 tapers.
This is my third time trying to get to 5mg and so far I'm doing much better than the other times. Going to sit here for 4 weeks and then go for 4.5mg.
Golly - miracles do happen!!!! Sounds good - hope he remembers it all next time! Rod Hughes likes to keep people at 5mg for up to 9 months - and if he thinks it is a good idea, I'm not going to argue with him!
Maybe he’s more relaxed now that you are down to 5mg and that means a safer dose with less chance of side effects?? I know my GP mentioned 5mg being a dose to work towards perhaps for the same reasons.
So glad you are having more success adding the extra week in at new dose. Wishing you continued smooth sailing!
It's been a battle, bounced up from 5 twice, so this time I took more care in getting down, the extra week has helped. Now I'm going to sit here for 4 weeks and then try for the next reduction.
Great news Julian, great news!!!!! Fingers crossed you fair well on 5mg and continue the downward trend!!!!!
I am glad you have your Saturdays. I am amazed that you’ve held a job down - it is astonishing to me. Please be kind to yourself. What about on-line grocery shopping? It is so much easier and you don’t impulse buy.
I know that you don’t need more commitments but my husband and I have started Pilates together, just the two of us - tailored to our needs. She has promised to make me stronger. It’s quite a laugh really.
Can't do online shopping, SWMBO enjoys going shopping
I have thought about taking some kind of class, but after a day in work I do just want to collapse and do nothing. Work can be a strain, but if I didn't go, I would just do nothing
Only 28 months and my pension won't take a hit for taking early. Plenty to do between now and then as well.
I also have ot keep my hobby going, that can take up long periods of time
A good result from Dr this time.Hope all goes well at 5mg take care.x
