Sorry to hear you are in a bad way, but I’m sure things will get better. We all have bad and good days - and I’m afraid it’s just a matter of getting through the bad and hoping for the good. 🌷
Thank you for replying. . I do try but it gets out of control sometimes Because of my cronic kidney disease there are only certain medications I can have. Love your positive attitude &really app you answering me. Keep safe &warm, snow coming ? Xx
You are not boring us at all. This is the place to come when you are down. I am on various meds. that I take various times a day and some days I just want to throw them all out and stop the madness. The pmr journey is an up and downhill trip. Somedays or weeks are better than others. I have fibromyalgia, back problems and pmr. Seems like when one settles down one of the others flare. I totally understand what you are feeling.I pray you will have a better day tomorrow. Keep the faith and you will turn a corner for the better.
You are so kind Linny3 I really do try I’ve always be a strong person ,but feel completely worn down at the hospital this morning for scan, next pain clinic then rheumatoigist, then kidney doctor . I haven’t been out walking for years but will try soon. It’s difficult to stay steady .
Peggy,. So glad you're here talking to us all. We're all here for each other. Just wondering if you are taking vitamin D. You probably are. Recommended dose is too low in these islands. I've been taking 5000 for years now. It's only about 23mg. I did a lot of reading before I started. Research done in the US and northern Europe showed how low levels are amongst people in climates like ours. We are so dependant on it for every part of our bodies. If you can, read up on it. Not from ordinary people like me but from experts in universities etc.
My bones have recovered dramatically. Recent decades showed I've the bones of a thirty year old.
I can sympathise with you as I too have c.k.d. and heart failure with everything else it does get you down at times but I try and pace myself and when I go out I take my walker which I find such a help, couldn’t manage without it, also do food shopping ( a nd everything else) on line. The cold weather makes it worse but spring is coming and we will really appreciate it. Do hope ou feel better soon.
Return to your doctor and see if anything can be done to make you more comfortable. These winter months must be particularly hard. Be completely frank with the doctor. It sounds like you are at the end of your tether.
Hi. I am under so many different departments in hospital &my Gp is great ,I’m limited what I can take because of all my conditions But thank you for caring keep safe &warm.
You are not boring us we are all here for information and support and there will be better days and worse days .Take it slow and do you have any online word games or such you can build up a relationship with .They have chatty people on some of these its socialising in a way . Stops you getting stuck in a rut . Take your mind elsewhere maybe for a little while .Reading through all the post on here can take some time up Its occupying your time though , Hope you have a better day today .
Thank you for all your encouraging words. I’m an avid reader & like quizzes I’m taking advice so generously given on this forum & am grateful for it all< but sometimes the pains are unbearable & sap any energy I might have .i hope you are well looks like snow today so keep warm.
Yes we have snow always makes everywhere look so fresh dosn't it . Hope you have a better day today ,Constant pain is so wearing mentally and physically .
So sorry to read how you are feeling, are you in the U.K.?
As Jane says go & see you’re Doctor for a Meds Review but also consult your Pharmacist, they usually have a little room tucked away, they can go through your Meds check for contraindications & offer advice. It’s something l recommend all of us who are on lot of Meds do from time to time, just to be sure.
Hi MrsN. I’m regularly reviewed by GP & hospital on medication, but I agree they do sometimes differ on ideas,& can be confusing so I go by the consultant who is treating me for whichever condition. Ie there are only paracetamol & oxynorm 5mg 4 x daily ,to be fare it does relive it for about 1 hour if lucky. Had a scan yesterday & next is pain clinic . I’m so please to be on this site ,getting all this sound helpful advice. Keep warm &safe ... love Peggy 🌹🌹
I’m glad you’re going to a Pain Management Clinic, they are extremely helpful l found. It was actually the Pain Management Specialist who picked up my PMR
