I just had a phone call from Toby, a manager at Boots head office apologising for the incident at their St Pancras branch and for the fact that my complaint wasn't escalated to his team in the first place. He's sending it to their Chief Pharmacist's Office for an investigation. So, it was definitely worth pursuing the matter.

You’ve turned the whole experience around - empowering!
Yes it is in a way. I certainly felt pretty helpless at the time. I had another call from the local Boots investigator yesterday assuring me that he's treating the matter as urgent and I'll hear from him in a few days. I think maybe the fact that I mentioned my MP Jeremy Corbyn got them a bit rattled. I haven't contacted him yet. I'll wait to see if the responses are satisfactory.
