Stress

It seems the one thing I can count on causing me to increase my dose of prednisone is family stress. I have been pretty diligent in ridding my life of stress but we can’t divorce our families. I do have an amazing husband and children but some things just can’t be avoided. For instance, my son has been in a 6 month grueling process of adopting 2 children. There have been health challenges with relatives, houses ruined by hurricane Florence, elderly care and of course always the “in laws”!

I have recognized this flaw in myself in how I handle stress and want to know your thoughts.

I am attaching an interesting article.

Thank you!

No wonder you are stressed, you have so many things going on ,all at the same time ! I know myself that stress doesnot help PMR,but it is impossible to just wave a magic wand and make it all go away. l have found that thinking back over the years ,things do eventually sort themselves out, however worrying they are at the time.l also find that music ,nature and praying can give some comfort.l sincerely hope that everything settles down or sorts itself out ,and that your new year will be happy, healthy ,and much less stressful. Sending you a big virtual hug ,and just think how lovely it is to have two adopted grandchildren ,lam sure they will be worth all the gruelling process before they arrived xx.

Thanks for posting. It says it all really. I just need to retreat to my cool calm bedroom for 20 minutes breathing in and out, then I am able to cope with a bit more. Sorry it has been so hard!
