NO GCA/PMR............. JUST A TRIBUTE ................

Today, I have spent with my dear little lady friend, marking her 100th Birthday!!!!!!!!!! I have been visiting her weekly, for 7 years. She hasn't got PMR/GCA, or ARTHRITIS. SHE HAS HAD MANY FALLS IN THE PAST, AND NEVER BROKEN A BONE. HOWEVER, I THINK THAT MIGHT JUST BE DOWN TO THE PRUNES WITH HER DAILY PORRIDGE? She was thrilled with her card from the Queen and a letter from Dept Works and Pensions, Amber Rudd. Family and friends in/out all day. Photos in local papers, incl. yours truly, sporting a very noticeable steroid face and hamster cheeks. I don't have any photos. We had a fish and chips lunch with a little sherry, the latter for her. When I was leaving at 6pm, she assured me she had a made-up bed, in the spare room, so I could stay overnight. Tomorrow, she goes to her day centre, where she will have another party.A great lady, who, apart from a bit of memory loss, will go onto 101. Bless you Marjorie. xx

I usually go to bed at midnight. Am going now, at 8.40pm! Didn't even do much today...probably the talking and laughing.

Thank you. Several times, throughout the afternoon, she did say she appreciated me being there. Never had children and she only married at 46. We've had some good times together.

What an amazing woman , could you ask her what her secret is , I think we could all do with a bit of it! xx

I have asked her that. She just laughs and says she doesn't know. The daily prunes seem to have stopped any fractures from many falls.

Gems you are. Great day for both.
