Down under!

We are now in NZ. Flights all went well and even managed to get some sleep. Think I have done alright with the pred over the travelling time. No jet lag. Off to collect our campervan tomorrow and then a couple of weeks touring South island before going to our daughter in the North island.

Great collection of names in NZ - Maori of course, but English & Scottish in particular! Quite home from home sometimes.

Have a fab time! We did the campervan trip round the two islands in 2004. Loved it! I remember looking for the famous silver fern and had read that it was all over South Island - well I kept on to the OH - I can't see these silver ferns everyone talks about - then the wind blew and the ferns - lots of them all turned their leaves so the undersides were outside - then I saw the silver ferns!!!! Our trip ended with Kiwi friends being married on Waiheke Island it was lovely but boy did it rain!!

Have a wonderful time! We were fortunate to spend a month in NZ , 2 weeks on each island. It was our retirement present to each other. The best holiday we have ever done!!
