Results of blood test showed borderline vitamin d deficiency. Going to see another doctor tomorrow. I'm going to write a list of the symptoms and what I am doing to help myself. Can this be pmr if nothing shows on blood test?

What now?
Low vit D can cause similar symptoms to PMR - but is also common in all sorts of autoimmune disorders. Up to 20% of patients with PMR have normal ESR and CRP levels - so nothing abnormal on the blood tests doesn't mean it isn't PMR - that was what happened to me, my ESR and CRP were never "out of normal range" but they were actually raised for me. Not the same thing at all.
Whether it is PMR or something else is the question - and they need to put their thinking caps on and if that doesn't do it - refer you to a rheumatologist.
Thanks for the reply, I am trying really hard to be positive but I am so very tired, achy, sweaty, slight swelling in some places with a very weird feeling in my head and having problems with my balance, falling backwards. I hope this doctor will be open-minded
