spoke to dr today...............

Rang surgery today, and asked when I could speak to my dr? She said 'hold on'..click...click..dr on the line. Told him about 2 day GCA headache. Said I was taking 15 mg Pred for 3 days. Would like to then go on 10 mg and taper to 7 and stay there. Not taper to 6.5 again, for awhile. He asked me if 15 mg suited me, and I replied it did, but I didn't want to stay there and put on weight. He said the plan sounded fine, and to go ahead. Thanks Doc.

Sometimes we are the best judge of our bodies and what we might need, but it's good to have doctors like yours and mine who listen to us and work with us.

Yes, he is. Used to be an Army dr, before coming to the surgery. Last year, he went on a stringent weight loss programme. Never thought of him as fat, really. Lost stacks and exercises. He says he 'lets up' a bit over weekends.We talk about all kinds of things, not just medically related. Doesn't hurry you up.
