There was some research 2 years ago about a link between GCA and ears. I remember filling in a survey form. I wonder what became of of it?

I had chronic ear infections and Psoriasis in my ears prior to PMR diagnosis. My ears would swell and close up - so painful, could certainly never lie on them. Pred seemed to see this off completely.

It's been reported on the forum and mentioned a few times in the past couple of months when people have asked questions on ear involvement. Jinasc posted the research results a while back.

Thanks Poopadoop. You have a phenomenal memory, or a very organised computer system.

Though the research was about INNER ears, it's the pinna (outer ear) I find gets sore at times.

My whole ear was inflamed, red and sore ( inside and out) on a regular basis. It just went away with Pred use - another blessing.
