An interesting 24 hours

Well I got home from work at about 15:30 knowing I had a little drive to do. So, to make life easier a little sleep was called for.

Then about 4:30 we packed a few bits into the car and drove off.

Up the A470, across the A44 then the B4343 followed by the A4120.

Where did we go you ask!

Well we arrived at The Hafod Hotel, if you've watched Hinterland, it was used for the children’s home in the first 2 parts.

Why would we drive all the way there, Devil's Bridge, you may ask. Well after 3 years of hard work, Kirsten, my daughter graduated from Aberystwyth University with a Law Degree.

Both Babs and myself are very proud of her, the first to go to university on her maternal side and I think also the first on her paternal side, but there may be a

daughter to my mum's brother who may have beaten her to that part of the family tree.

After all the fun, it was a nice 2.5 hour drive home :)

Indeed it is, for us the A470 to Merthyr is the fast bit, from then on you can slow to a crawl for miles.

Having said that, I do think it's a fantastic place to study.

Plenty of places to drink, well it is a university town after all. I'm sure you son enjoyed his stag do there ;)
