Dose error just now

I just got messed up on my prednisone dose. I’m down to 4 mgs a day. I accidentally took my 4 pills out of the 2.5 mgs bottle, because husband handed me the wrong bottle. I took 10 mgs. just now instead of 4. My dose for tomorrow would normally be 4.5. Can I return to it or do I have to take into account today’s error.

I did the same thing the other day. I thought i was cutting 5mg in half and here it was the 10mg. Just felt a little better a little longer.

Have you ever tried to explain to a non pmr person how we need to constantly shift our meds? I have and what a 'glaze over' effect it brings on or a gasp "you can't mess with prednisone" funny

oh thats funny - the "glaze over" - I wouldn't even try anymore. I don't have the energy to try make them understand!!!

I normally forget to take them, much better to slip in an extra dose! No harm done just carry on as normal tomorrow.

I was told by the pharmacist not to worry, and carry on as normal the following day!
